Sebenernya caranya cukup mudah, walau tidak juga sederhana. Tetapi dukungan software menjadi sangat penting, karena dengan software itulah, bisa di-extract isi dari file backup BB yang berekstensi IDP itu.

Beberapa browser sudah saya coba, instal dan pelihara di setiap komputer / lapie (setiap ? hehe, habisnya gonta-ganti antara punya kantor sama punya pribadi).. Kalau mau tahu, sebenernya tidak ada yang istimewa, karena kebanyakan pengguna internet pasti punya, yang jelas yang hampir pasti ada di setiap komputer yang saya pegang, termasuk komputer punya teman walau cuma pinjam sebentar aja, yaitu: Firefox (terutama versi CCPB Kaskus), Opera yang baru dengan OperaUnited-nya, dan Chrome. Disamping itu, masih ada: Safari browser punya Apple, Internet Explorer (IE) of course coz kebanyakan pakai “Jendela”, dan Flock; pernah juga coba Avant Browser, dan ada satu lagi cuman lupa namanya

Nah kali ini tentang Google Chrome, how it seduces me again..

Sebenernya sudah lamaa dulu pertama kali instal Google Chrome, tapi, ada hal-hal yang tidak memuaskan pada saat itu, antara lain: sering crash, relatif sulit untuk multimedia, klik yang rada seret (n oon) buat ngeklik ke “tab baru” perlu sampai klik beberapa kali; tapi speednya cukup memuaskan. Waktu itu juga sering bingung kalau mau nambahi add-on atau extention demi meningkatkan usabilitas Chrome. Pokoknya, waktu dulu itu, sering bingung dengan Chrome ini..

Nah, kemarin-kemarin, kira-kira 2 atau 3 pekan yang lalu, iseng-iseng download Chrome yang terbaru. Ternyata performanya, wuihh mengasyikkan, jauh lebih baik daripada saat pertama-tama dirilis. Ekstensinya sudah banyak, dan mudah instalnya (semudah nambahin add-on ke firefox). Beberapa ekstensi yang langsung dicari dan dipasang adalah: kaskus extension (walaupun masih bisa ditingkatkan lagi fungsionalitasnya), trus ScribeFire (kalau mau tahu fungsinya, silahkan cek postingan saya yang lalu). Iseng-iseng juga, pasang ekstensi untuk ebay (buat belajar aja).. Wuih, pokoknya serasa belum pernah pakai Chrome sebelumnya..

Postingan ini dibuat sengaja untuk nyobain ekstensi ScribeFire di Chrome (using ScribeFire for Chrome). Namun, ternyata ‘susah kliknya’ kadang-kadang masih terjadi; cukup mengganggu buat saya yang sering klik kanan n ‘open in a new tab’. Sisi multimedia sudah sangat baik, minimal streaming youtube sudah smooth banget; cuman lagi, beberapa kali muncul warning tentang Flash yang tidak bisa jalan.

Berbagai fitur ini, cukup buat memalingkan preferensi saya ke Chrome lagi. Coz, buat saya, nggak penting mau pakai browser apa saja yang penting cepat, mudah, banyak manfaat kalau mau posting ke blog, buka forum, dsb. Namun, tidak ada janji bahwa saya akan selalu menggunakan Chrome setiap surfing di internet, coz untuk transaksi, tetap aja prefer pakai IE yang versi 8; sedangkan untuk ngaskus tetep lebih prefer on Firefox CCPB, sedangkan kalau koneksi lemot abis, biasanya langsung lari ke Opera dengan Automatic Turbo-nya..

Akankah Google Chrome tetap menggodaku di masa datang..? Kita lihat saja..

Ada banyak preferensi untuk memiliki handphone. Ada yang lebih menitik beratkan pada fungsional dasar (telepon dan sms aja), ada yang cinta mati dengan hiburan sehingga memilih handphone dengan fitur multimedia komplit mulai dari MP3, jeprat-jepret atau buat video dengan menggunakan kamera, sampai bersosialisasi dan berseluncur dengan internet. Bahkan sekarang sudah banyak handphone yang fungsinya mirip komputer mini, dengan berbagai aplikasi untuk membuka file-file office dan presentasi. Silahkan saja, asalkan tidak berlebih-lebihan alias tabadzir.

Kalau saya sendiri, ada beberapa preferensi yang menjadikan sebuah handphone menjadi dambaan:

1. Operating System, maksudnya adalah operating system yang terbuka, seperti Symbian, Linux, Windows Mobile. Arti terbuka disini adalah bahwa operating system itu bukan ekslusif pabrik. Maksudnya, memang sih semua gadget, termasuk handphone pasti punya atau menggunakan operating system (OS), namun OS yang digunakan hanya compatible atau bisa digunakan oleh perusahaan itu sendiri. Lain dengan OS terbuka, dimana orang atau pihak lain bisa mengembangkan software atau aplikasi untuk OS-Os tersebut. Mudah-mudahan Rekan Blogger paham maksud saya.

2. JAVA, buat ngegame dan menambah fungsionalitas atau kegunaan handphone. Saat ini, fitur JAVA hampir menjadi fitur standar untuk handphone yang bukan low-end banget. JAVA menjadi sangat diidamnkan, karena saat ini, JAVA tidak hanya bisa buat ngegame, tetapi bisa untuk aplikasi-aplikasi yang lainnya juga.

3. External memory, untuk nambah-nambah aplikasi atau simpan file dan data -baik gambar, lagu, foto, atau yang lainnya. 

3. MP3, yang standard aja, asal suaranya bisa agak lain dari yang bawaan pabrik.

4. Kamera. Sebenernya kurang begitu penting buat saya, namun karena saya sering pindah-pindah tugas, dan sering melakukan perjalanan -minimal pulang pergi ke kantor yang berada di luar kota, saya jadi sering pingin mengabadikan momen-momen atau pemandangan, buat oleh-oleh dan cerita untuk anak-anak.

5. Dual SIM Card. Fitur ini sangat menarik buat saya, mengingat teman-teman saya pakai vendor GSM / CDMA yang berbeda-beda. Pinginnya bisa nelpon mereka dengan harga yang paling murah. Jadinya hampir semua kart, sudah pernah saya coba, seperti: Mentari, Matrix, IM3, XL Bebas, Simpati, AS, 3, Fren, Flexy Trendy. 

6. Layar gedhe, biar nyaman untuk buka-buka file atau baca SMS.

7. Masih ada beberapa lainnya, tapi kurang begitu minat untuk saat ini.

Nah, ceritanya, kemarin-kemarin saya beli handphone yang sederhana, yaitu LG KU 250. LG KU 250 ini adalah handphone 3G bikinan LG yang paling murah, dengan semboyannya: 3G for All. Harganya waktu itu adalah sejuta kurang seribu. Pertimbangan saat belinya, sudah sesuai dengan preferensi di atas, kecuali operating system terbuka.

Tentu saja, setelah eksplore fitur-fiturnya, hunting game dan aplikasi JAVA dimulai. Search Engine mulai dikerahkan. Forum dan Milis mulai di-search. Hasilnya, lebih dari 20an game dan aplikasi JAVA berhasil dan didownload, dan sukses di-instal di LG KU 250. Puas ? Sepertinya belum, tapi saat ini cukuplah.

Nah, kalau teman-teman Blogger atau siapa saja pingin cari game dan aplikasi JAVA, saya sarankan untuk mengunjungi situs ini: www.getjar.com . Banyak aplikasi bisa di-download disana. Yang diperlukan adalah Anda mengetahui resolusi layar handphone Anda agar tidak sia-sia pencarian dan downloadnya. Misalnya untuk LG KU 250 yang saya punya, resolusinya adalah 175×220 piksel. Saya kira ini yang paling penting, setelah tentu saja kita mengetahui dan memastikan bahwa handphone kita telah benar-benar terinstal JAVA -baik MIDP 1 atau MIDP 2. 

Hasilnya: ada beberapa aplikasi Al Quran, Hadist Nabi, bacaan-bacaan seputar agama, game, dan sebagainya terpasang di handphone LG KU 250 saya. Lumayan lah untuk baca-baca atau main game saat suntuk atau bosen.

This Firefox Extension’s name is Adsense Notifier, where you can download it here or here. In order to be able to utilize this extension, firstly you must have firefox version 2.0 or higher already installed to your computer. Then visit the url to download the extension. Wait until the download complete. After that, firefox will inform you -with a dialog box coming up- that there is a plugin ready to install. Just press the install button, and wait till it completes. After doing this, your firefox is now ready to notify you about your adsense earning. But, in order it runs properly, you must restart the firefox.

After firefox restarted, please be aware that there is an icon at the right-most bottom of your browser (at status bar). The adsense notifier icon is displayed as a paper with some colored bars in it. Please make sure of this first. If you could not find the icon, you should recheck to make sure that this adsense-notifier extension is already activated (i'll show you how to activate and deactivate this plugin later).

Activate The Plugin

Here is how to activate your Adsense-Notifier extension:
1. Start firefox, then click on menu at Tools –> click Add on

2. Add-ons box will popup showing three buttons like this:

• Options button: to show a dialog box to set up your account, and how to display earning report.
• Disable (Enable) button: disable means to deactivate the plugin, while enable will activate the plugin. You have to make sure that the plugin is enabled (that is the plugin will state Disable to deactivate it).
• Uninstall button: to remove the plugin from your computer or firefox.

Setting Account and Display

To run the plugin, first you must submit your adsense account username and password, and set up how the report displays at your firefox satus bar. Now, click on Options button at Add-ons dialog box above. This will lead you to a dialog box, named: Adsense Notifier. Simply there are 3 more options there, here they are:

1. Summit your account: at Adsense Notifier Options, summit your Adsense Username and Password on the correspond text-boxes:

2. Customize your action. At Adsense Actions Options you can customize what action will show / be done whhen you do right, left, or control (ctrl) clicking. You can also choose the default Adsense Window action, when you do the click.

3. Customize your display report. At Adsense Display Options, you can customize how to display your earning report. You can sort your report base on Today’s report or others. You could also group your display report, Number Locale, et cetera. For fast use, you could leave it as given.

4. Press OK, and wait for your browser will display like this:

. The numbers shown at the status bar of your firefox will depend on your options at step 3 above, especially when you marked boxes below the ‘Show the following items‘ there (the Impressions, Clicks, CTR, CPM, Earnings, RPC).

Quick Display

It’s just a simple steps to do, since the dialog boxes are simply designed. Still, if you want a fast display of your Adsense earning, simply (1) submit your Adsense Username and Password, then (2) click OK button at the bottom, and you should see your earning report at the satatus bar.

Back again. After experiencing these -a little- tremendous efforts, i come to conclusion that i need helps. Not any kind of help for content -not right now- but it's rather than to ease my activities on writing (posting) and reading (blog walking) for some blogs i own.
Of course there are many ways doing this -in this term, ways meaning that could be done by me, myself or you yourself, no need other people helps this time. So, i began searching info and trying some program or software to ease me. I found some of the desktop softwares to post contents, some of them i even have tried by posting articles in this blog. I found they're interesting. Just to remind you that i've been posting to this blog using BlogJet and Post2Blog before. But still i want more. I want a tools that is some kind like integrated between posting and reading. Tool that no need for me to open several program to do these activities on the same time. What is it ? Is it there ?

Well, finally i come to Firefox. I love Firefox because of its stability and its open source (meaning free software). But more than that, i got realized that my blogging activities will be more ease by utilizing some of Firefox extensions (that are available tons of them). Here some of firefox extension i use, and i want to share with you. By the way, i should tell you that i'm using firefox 2.0.0.6 right now. And i'm writing this article using firefox (with its extension) either. Here are some valuable Firefox extension i use:

1. ScribeFire – useful for posting articles to blogs . Below is snapshot of ScribeFire:

2. BlogRovR – useful for reading blogs you choose. You can collect your favorite blogs and read them all (via RSS) right on your Firefox browser. Instead of opening those blogs one by one  following the RSS, BlogRovR extension brings all new posts from your favorite blog on widget on your Firefox browser. Following new posts on your favorite blogs will be much easier ever . 

3. Adsense Notifier – notify earning from adsense on your Firefox browser. Actually this extension is what the 'adsense lover' wants. With this extension no need to sign in google adsense every day just to view how much one earns. Unfortunately, in my experience, i could not see the earning notification at the right bottom of my Firefox browser. But, it does not mean that the extension doesn't work anymore. Update: i can see my adsense earning displayed on the status bar of my firefox (i forgot to input my adsense user name and password before), but takes a hard time to show its update. Still, it worth to try in different environment, and please tell me when it works . 

4. DownloadHelper – useful for download anything including you tube video. This extension more likely suitable for you blogger with rich multimedia content and youtube fans since you can download youtube video easily with this extension. Just download, install and activate it, you will be known if there are contents that could be downloaded using this extension .
